Eisner Museum in Wisconsin

Not only did I get to visit the Hamilton Wood Type Museum, but I also had the opportunity to see the Eisner Museum of American Design and Advertising. Work by HartungKemp, Duffy and Fossil caught my eye!

Trip back in type

A recent trip to Milwaukee yielded the opportunity to make a trip to The Hamileton Wood Type Museum in Two Rivers (about 2 hours north of Milwaukee). Dude, I cannot say enough about it. I always wanted to make the trip and when I found out the the wife was making the trip for our cousin's wedding. I figured out how to fit it in to the schedule, completely worth the effort.

High on the Hog

To round out a really nice trip to Wisconsin, we finished by visiting the new Harley Davidson Museum (designed by Pentagram). Very cool. Kid friendly and big kid friendly too, we all had a blast. The museum was well designed and easy to tour. If you ever get the chance to see it, I highly recommend it.

Buffalo

What can I say. It's a really cool place, even in the summer. Aside from having our share of wings, pizza and an awesome blue cheese burger (can not wait for another). We got a VIP tour of the Darwin Martin house (Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece) with family, really impressive. The house is in resortation currently and still looked amazing. We also went to Niagara Falls, once at night and once during the day. It's always nice to take in the beautiful historic architecture and old hand painted signage. The old churches are just amazing. To top it of we took a trip over to Rodchester to see the Strong Museum for kids and to eat at Dinosaur BBQ (no we didn't eat real T-rex).
